Bill Stockwell

Bill Stockwell has been photographing weddings for 35 years. 

His relaxed and natural style has made him one of the most sought after photographers in the San Francisco bay  area. 

He now takes his expertise to the Hawaiian Islands, based on the island of Maui.

“My most important task as a wedding photojournalist, is to catch the true personalities of the wedding participants. The best wedding pictures grab us all on an emotional level.  Boring, statistical and overly posed photos are unacceptable, as far as I’m concerned.  I keep a very low profile at an event, my goal being to photograph people when they are not aware of my presence.

“I consider my responsibility as a wedding photographer to be extreme.  The memories that  take place at this life changing occasion cannot be replayed.  There is nothing more rewarding than the phone calls that I receive from ecstatic brides regarding their photos.  I get one complaint, however, on every wedding  ‘There are too many good ones!’  I just love that.”
